Europe Day 9: Budapest

We arrived in Budapest under cover of darkness after travelling 544 kms, in approximately 4 hrs and 15 mins. and as we would soon learn, when you do this, things sometimes seem worse then they really are.

My wife used the LPTG to find our hotel for our first night in Budapest, which cost us 65 euros.

After we dropped off the bags we wandered down to the river to try to listen to some jazz on a boat but when we got there there wasn't any jazz to be heard anywhere.
We did however, hear a little country music on the way home.

The next day we did Budapest from top to bottom. We got on a "hop on, hop off" bus ...

... and then we got on another one, and then we did some walking ...

followed by a boat cruise ...

... and then topped it off with some more walking.
We tried to find a castle, but never could.

And another thing ...

For our second night in Budapest we tried a different hotel, around the corner from our first one, which cost us 69 euros.

After much thought, we are not sure which we enjoyed more, Buda ...

... or Pest?

Wicked account of your trip. You should write a media travel book of your journeys. Also include the hotels you stayed in.

Great digital diary!
