Europe Day 8: The Sedlec Ossuary, or The Bone Church

This next stop, just outside of Prague, was all my wife. She researched it and put it on our itinerary. The Sedlec Ossuary is a small Roman Catholic chapel, located beneath the Cemetery of All Saints, in Sedlec, a suburb of Kutna Hora in the Czech Republic.

The ossuary is estimated to hold the skeletons of about 40,000 to 70,000 people, whose bones have been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel.
