Say It Isn't So!

Just when we thought it was safe to break out the shorts...

You had to know we were going to get one last blast of winter before settling into spring -- it happens pretty much every year.
The next couple days are going to be wet, snowy ones for the GTA and much of the province. A snowfall warning has been issued for the areas west and north of the city for Monday. Though it started off as rain, by 4am Monday the flakes were falling north of Highway 7.
Across the Golden Horseshoe we could see 25 millimetres of rain and up to 4 centimetres of snow as the temperature hovers around the freezing mark.
Further north, past King Rd. and into the Barrie area, residents are looking at the possibility of much more snow, anywhere from 10 to 20 centimetres of it. Peterborough into Bancroft and other parts of western Ontario will likely see more snow as well.
As for Toronto, we're sitting at about 3C right now so the precipitation is coming in the form of rain. But it looks as though we won't escape this weather system unscathed. As the temperature drops the rain will turn into a rain-snow mix.
