Changing Face of Toronto: Regent Park Redevelopment
Since I started working downtown, my route to work has taken me through the different faces of Toronto. One of the places I pass through daily is Regent Park. Regent park is a low income community housing area in Toronto that dates back to the late fifties, and is in the process of going through a 10 year redevelopment. Here is a look at one of the current walk-ups in Regent Park today. And here is a look at phase one of the new multi use development going up now. It is supposed to be a mix of low, mid and high income condos. This is looking east from Parliament and Gerrard. And here is a unique way that the area is dealing with graffiti problem. Pretty cool, if you ask me.
