Hammered again!

The phrase 'it's been a rough week' hardly qualifies for what winter weary GTA residents have gone through this month. Wave after wave of snow has hit the area head on, a relentless attack that forecasters say is far from over. Another 15-20 centimetres fell across the GTA Tuesday, leaving the normal chaos behind.
Roads were slick and slippery and there were scores of accidents and stuck cars. Some got out and pushed. Others just gave up, awaiting the arrival of a snow plow.
The only good news in all this may be that the flakes that fell on Tuesday were the soft and fluffy kind, a lot easier to clear away than the heavy wet slush we had last week. But don't put that scoop away just yet. There's more snow in the forecast, potentially a lot of it. An additional four to seven centimetres or more could come Friday and another 20 may be here on Monday as the winter without end continues.
And we are closing in on a record. The average amount of snow recorded for a winter at Pearson International Airport is about 132.2 centimetres or 52 inches. So far, we've seen 115.4cm or 45 inches - and the season isn't over until March 20th, still more than a month away.
