LAMBORGHINI
U.S. woes won't affect sales
Lamborghini SpA, the maker of sports cars driven by actor Jamie Foxx and soccer star David Beckham, expects sales to remain unaffected by the U.S. subprime housing market collapse.
"We believe there will be no lows in the next months," Lamborghini president Stephan Winkelmann said in an interview from the Bologna, Italy, car show. Vehicle deliveries are up 15 per cent this year and the company, a unit of Volkswagen AG's Audi division, is sticking to forecasts, he said.
Lamborghini last year sold a record 2,087 cars, which start at $225,000 (U.S.).
"We always produce less than there is demand for," which means customers must wait about 12 months for a Lamborghini to be delivered, Winkelmann said.
WOW! Now I can sleep again! Thank God!
