Racing News: USF1 Team Set To Fold

All this 24 7 Olympic coverage is starting to make me go blind, time to take a break from all this wall to wall coverage and see what else is going on in the world...

In F1 news there is talk that USF1 will not make the starting grid for the 2010 F1 season.

Reports from Canadian site Auto123.com suggest that Charlotte based team USF1 is set to fold. This comes after Brian Bonner, strategic developer for the team, has left and reports were swirling about the team’s future. In the article, Argentine paper La Voz announced that Sporting Director Peter Windsor confessed to Argentine businessman Phillip McGough & the parents of driver Jose Maria Lopez were notified that the team has not built a car within the time specifications.
Also noted in the article, that YouTube founder Chad Hurley has also left the team to negotiate with Adrian Campos, to help his effort out. No official word from USF1 has been made, and calls to the team from The Inside Line have not been returned. If all the revelations are true, Serbian based team Stefan GP will be the next team in line to take the grid in 2010.
