I saw this creature swimming in the lake this morning just beyond where my dogs had been swimming a few minutes before.

Best guess, it was a beaver ... or maybe it was the Loch Ness Monster.

We decided to brave the holiday traffic and went up to my wife's family cottage for the long weekend and it turns out we picked the perfect weekend to do it, the weather was amazing.

On Sunday the Cecebe lake association held its annual regatta, a community gathering for the cottagers who have a place on lake Cecebe. Of course we went to check it out.
