I know I said I wasn't going to make birthday announcements anymore, but this is my blog and I can do what I want ... and because this one is kind of special.Happy birthday to my sister, Ruth, who turns 50 today.

I would wish her personally, but she is out of the country celebrating her birthday with her kids in a rented house on the beach somewhere in South Africa.

I'm betting it will be a party they will talk about for a long time to come
