Europe Day 16: ... Monza ...

After a morning spent touring around Verona, it was into the car and onto our next stop, one of my choices, The Autodromo Nazionale Monza which is a race track located near the town of Monza, 163 kms and 2 hrs drive down the road.
The circuits biggest event is the Formula One Italian Grand Prix, which it has hosted since the sorts inception
Things got off to a rough start when we got there and could only find one entrance which was locked. We tried asking some of the locals for help, but the language barrier proved to be too much.

We were just about to give up, when we learnt that a bike trail runs around the outside of the track and decided to take a walk to see if we could see anything other then a fence.
About 5 minutes into our walk we see an old man biking on the other side of the fence, inside the track area. We asked him how he got in and he took us to a hole cut in the fence a few feet further down the path.

And just like that we inside the famed Monza race track.

That my friends is the story of how my wife and I got into The Autodromo Nazionale Monza for a very intimate look.
Scratch that one off my bucket list.
