Costa Rica Day 5: Tortuga Island
I mentioned earlier that at our hotel, the beach wasn't really suitable for swimming or just laying about. So we decided to take a boat cruise to Tortuga Island, which is located in the Nicoya Gulf, about an hours cruise from Puntarenas harbour. The island is a virtual paradise, with a white sandy beaches, and palm trees blowing in the breeze. We went banana boating, had lunch prepared by the crew, and then did some snorkeling before the cruise back to the mainland. It was very nice and relaxing.
