Kristina Groves became Canada's first double medal winner at these Winter Olympic Games by winning silver in the ladies 1,500 metre Speed Skating event yesterday. Kristina also won bronze in the 3000 metre event.This brings Canada's medal count nine medals; four gold, four silver and one bronze and puts Canada in a tie with Korea for fourth place for medals won by country. Norway is in third with 12 medals, Germany second with 18 and the US in first, with 24 medals won.
