Biking and Stuff

Today's topic is all about biking. This past week while I was in London, I had the opportunity to get in some biking. For those of you who don't know, I lived in London, Ontario a 'few' years ago. London's nickname is the Forrest City and it has an amazing network of paved bike trails that snake throughout the city. When I lived there I used to bike alot along those miles of paved trails so it was nice to take a trip down memory lane.
Here are some pictures from my morning rides. Thursday morning, on the trails at Richmond St just past the University of Western Ontario, after riding through the downtown core. Heading back through town along the Thames river. Its funny, I haven't been on these trails since '95, but they are exactly as I remember.Going under Richmond St headed back.Riding past Harris Park, where Rock the Park was held.Headed back to the in-laws under Wortley Rd.Friday morning, headed east along the Thames at approx. Adelaide St South.

Headed past Highbury Ave.Somewhere near Clarke Rd.
Saturday morning, headed west to Springbank Park.
Some cool history along the way.
Storybook Gardens, Springbank Park.
The legend of Slippery the seal lives!

Other Biking StuffCongratulations to a little upstart Canadian bike company from Toronto started in 1994 named Cervelo. This year was the first time a cyclist has won the Tour de France on a Canadian made bike. Awesome!

Last Word So I had a problem with my bike this weekend. The back wheel was grabbing and I wasn't sure what the problem was. So I took it in to my bike shop and they had it fixed in less then five minutes, no charge to me. And the kicker? The mechanic said to me, we have got to keep customers like you happy. You spend alot of money here and we want to keep you coming back happy. So a big shout out to CyclePath on the Danforth. Thanks for understanding what customer service is all about, it is appreciated.
